98 Degrees BandIn a career spanning two decades and multiple generations of fans, 98° has scored six Top-20 singles and sold a staggering 10 million albums. Now the chart-topping quartet — best known for their string of hits in the late-’90s — is coming to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s Special Events Center on Saturday, January 25th. Tickets for An Evening With 98° start at $39, on sale this Friday, November 22nd at the Fantasy Springs Box Office, via phone (800) 827-2946 and online at www.FantasySpringsResort.com.

Featuring Jeff Timmons, Justin Jeffre and brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, 98° was at the forefront of the Total Request Live, boy band-dominated era that also produced Backstreet Boys and ‘NSYNC. However, they set themselves apart from their contemporaries by writing the bulk of their own material, which reflected their R&B, soul and pop influences.

From 1997 to 2002, 98° performed countless sold-out concerts, scored a chart-topping single (“Thank God I Found You” with Mariah Carey and Joe), and collaborated with their musical idol Stevie Wonder on “True to Your Heart.” The group’s four-million-selling album, 98° and Rising(1998, Motown), spawned the Top-5 singles “Because of You,” “I Do,” and “The Hardest Thing,” while 2000’s Revelation (Universal Records) sold two million copies, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and yielded a trio of hits in “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche),” “My Everything” and “The Way You Want Me To.”

After the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, the all-Ohio-raised quartet decided to take a break. Save for a one-off TV special in 2004, it would be more than a decade before the four friends in 98° would sing together again.

In 2013, they hit the road with New Kids On the Block and Boyz II Men — the latter being one of their biggest inspirations. Encouraged by the positive fan reaction, the group headlined their own, 38-city trek in the summer of 2016.  The My2K tour, which also included O-Town, Dream and Ryan Cabrera, played to sold-out crowds across the country.

In 2017, 98° released their first Christmas album in 18 years, Let It Snow, to glowing reviews. The band embarked on a highly successful 31-city tour in support, in addition to performances on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Disney’s Magic Holiday Celebration, Good Morning America, Today Show, Kelly & Ryan and more.

Over the years, all four members have pursued ventures outside of 98°. Nick appeared on Season 25 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, launched a successful solo career and has starred on TV both as an actor (The WB’s Charmed and One Tree Hill) and host (VH-1’s Big Morning Buzz Live, NBC’s The Sing-Off). Drew was crowned Season 2 winner ofDancing with the Stars and has appeared on Broadway, while both brothers opened Lachey’s Bar (A&E). Timmons joined members of Backstreet Boys and ‘NSYNC for VH-1’s Mission Man Band. Jeffre is involved in various media and cause-related projects as well as politics.
