Three-time Grammy Award®-winning artist Ne-Yo was explaining the genesis of his new album title, R.E.D., an acronym for Realizing Every Dream. "It came from me stepping outside myself, looking at my life as it is today and realizing that every dream I've had from the day I decided I wanted to do music, that I wanted my life to be about music, every dream that I've had from then til now, if I haven't realized it by now, I'm definitely on the way to realizing it."

R.E.D., released September 2012, is Ne-Yo's fifth studio album for the Universal Music Group (UMG). It is also his first album for the newly revitalized Motown Records after seven megasuccessful years and four RIAA gold and platinum albums as a core member of Island Def Jam Music Group. Adding to the R.E.D. album's provenance is Ne-Yo's appointment (announced January 2012) as the new Senior Vice President of A&R for Motown, a coveted role at one of America's most important and prestigious blue-chip record labels. In yet another new dream role, Ne-Yo will be working alongside industry great Barry Weiss, Chairman & CEO of Universal Republic and Island Def Jam Motown.

"I'm beyond flattered that they felt I was a person who could be helpful in reestablishing Motown," Ne-Yo says. "What put me over the edge was Barry Weiss's overall belief in me, his belief that I could be an integral part of this revitalization. Maybe he sees a greatness in me that I haven't realized in myself yet. If the executive is the next step, then so be it. It's just another set of dreams, another set of goals for me to move towards."
Becoming an actor was never one of Ne-Yo's desires, even though his stage name derives from a recording studio engineer's observation, more than a decade ago, that he perceives music the way Neo perceived the
Matrix. Nevertheless, in 2008, after the triumph of his third album, Year Of The Gentleman reverberated around the world, Ne-Yo was cast in two big budget, major studio blockbusters that took him away from music for most of 2009, during their back-to-back shooting schedules: director Jonathan Liebesman's Battle: Los Angeles (Columbia Pictures), which opened in 2011; and George Lucas' World War II epic Red Tails (20th Century Fox), the chronicle of the Tuskegee Airmen, which opened in 2012.

"One thing I learned about acting," he says, "it's actually very similar to music. It's all about the level of passion and the level of emotion that you put into what you're doing, that's gonna make what you're doing good. You can hear it when a singer receives that anointing to where he's not even in his body anymore, the music has completely taken over. It's the same with acting, you can see when an actor has become his character. You must have a very strong understanding of who you are in order to become somebody else. I'm still a student to the music, and I'm still a student to acting, but it's another
transition, another step, another group of dreams and goals to set."

Mexico-native and California transplant Alfonso Gomez rose to recognition in the U.S. while competing on the hit reality TV show “The Contender” on NBC in 2004. He ranked third of the show’s 16 fighters that were competing for a one million dollar cash prize. Gomez is an intense fighter who has taken on some of the toughest fighters in the sport, Shawn Porter, Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto and Jesus Soto Karass. Most recently, Gomez won via unanimous decision over Ed Paredes at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino, Las Vegas in July and hopes to add another win to his record when he meets Kamegai on March 20.

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, Yoshihiro Kamegai began his professional career nearly 10 years ago and quickly became known as a fast and sly slugger, scoring knockout after knockout. He made his U.S. boxing debut in 2011, securing a victory over Hector Munoz at the MGM Grand and most recently scored a knockout victory over Oscar Godoy in December at the same venue. Kamegai, a relative newcomer in the U.S. boxing scene, first captured the American audience and critics’ attention when he fought two-division world titlist Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero in a vicious brawl last June that garnered considerable ‘Fight of the Year’ interest. Kamegai will make his sixth U.S. appearance on March 20 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in his toughest match to date against former world title contender Alfonso Gomez.

Ronny Rios made his professional debut six years ago and has quickly racked up wins and a tough reputation along the way. A familiar face at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, Rios has won all but his most recent surprising loss in a vicious battle against Robinson Castellanos at the venue. He makes his return March 20 with great determination and hope to show his fans and boxing critics that he is a mainstay in the sport.

Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico’s Jesus “Kalaka” Navarro is a seasoned fighter ready to take on Rios on March 20.  A professional since 2006, the Mexican brawler has had a successful career in his native country and is now making his second appearance in the U.S. after facing contenders like Julio Barraza, Jesus Lopez, and Francisco C De Vaca.  In his first fight of 2015, Navarro hopes to add another win to his record and get back on track to a title match.

Irish national champion Jamie “The Nuisance” Kavanagh has a natural talent and knack for the sport, having competed since age 11 only a year after he first set foot in the ring. After racking up medals in international competitions,Kavanagh made his way to the U.S. and made his professional debut at Madison Square Garden in May 2010, with an impressive win over William Ware after just two rounds. 2014 was a good year for Kavanaghas he secured quick wins against Andres Navarro and Michael Clark and hopes to continue the winning streak when he makes his third appearance at Fantasy Spring Resort Casino on March 20.

Featherweight rising star, Abraham Lopez, of La Puente, Calif., first laced up the gloves at age six, and hasn’t put them down since. Lopez, started off his professional career in 2008 with a first round technical knockout of Albert Soto and continues to thrill fight fans with his impressive style.  Most recently the undefeated fighter faced Gabriel Tomlmajyan winning via unanimous decision on March 16.  On March 20, Lopez will put his undefeated record on the line once again in hopes to one day get a shot at a world title.

Born and raised in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Juan Carlos “El Pez” Martinez is a seasoned fighter still looking for his shot at a title.  Having fought over 36 fights in his career and most recently facing contenders like Edner Cherry, Alejandro Perez and Jose Pedraza, “El Pez” has proven to be a feared contender in the sport. Going the distance in most of his fights, Martinez has the experience and the stamina to give anyone a tough fight and on March 20, Martinez hopes to out-box La Puente’s Abraham Lopez.

Riverside, Calif. native Albert “Baby Dynamite” Herrera is a super welterweight prospect looking to add a win to his record when he returns to the ring on March 20 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. The O’Jays were at the forefront of Seventies soul music. Racking up a lengthy string of modern R&B classics, including “Back Stabbers,” “Love Train,” “For the Love of Money,” “I Love Music” and “Use Ta Be My Girl,” they helped put the “Philly Soul” sound (so named for Philadelphia-based producers, Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff) on the map. In fact, the O’Jays were the backbone of Gamble and Huff’s Philadelphia International label, which released some of the greatest and most influential Seventies records.

During a fifteen-year run from “Back Stabbers” (1972) to “Lovin’ You” (1987), the O’Jays placed 35 singles on the R&B chart, nine of which went to #1. The vast majority of the group’s hits were made with Gamble and Huff for their various labels - Neptune, Philadelphia International, TSOP - in a relationship dating back to 1969.

The O’Jays’ historic run with Gamble and Huff continued until 1988. Even after switching labels and producers, the trio kept having hits. The O’Jays scored their ninth R&B chart-topper, “Have You Had Your Love Today,” in 1989. Emotionally Yours (1991) yielded three R&B smashes, including their choir-filled arrangement of the Bob Dylan-penned title track. The group’s latest album of new material, Love You to Tears, appeared in 1997. The O’Jays received the Rhythm & Blues Foundation’s Pioneer Award in 1998, and they remain a popular performing entity.

When four young men were cast in the television roles of a struggling rock band inspired by The Beatles’ A Hard Day’s Night, few could have predicted the impact The Monkees would make on music and pop culture at large, an impact that still reverberates nearly 50 years later. The Monkees’ Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork make their Fantasy Springs Resort Casino debut on Friday, March 27th.

Assembled in Los Angeles in 1965 by Robert "Bob" Rafelson and Bert Schneider for the television series The Monkees, the quartet of Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork, and the late Davy Jones brought a singular mix of pop, rock, psychedelia, Broadway, and country to their music. The show itself, meanwhile, paid tribute not only to The Beatles, but also to the comedy stylings of The Marx Brothers and Laurel and Hardy as well as the pop-art sensibilities of Warhol and the emerging San Francisco psychedelic scene.

The Monkees’ first single, “Last Train to Clarksville,” was released in August 1966, serving as advance publicity for the series. When the group’s self-titled debut album arrived in stores a month later, it quickly headed for the top spot of the Billboard charts, where it would ultimately sit for 13 of the 78 weeks it remained in the Top 200. (Two decades later, in the midst of a new burst of Monkeemania, The Monkees popped back onto the charts, bringing the total number of weeks to 102.)

By the time the group’s TV series aired its final new episode on March 25, 1968, the Monkees had seen three further albums top the charts – More of the Monkees, Headquarters, and Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, Ltd., all of which were released in 1967, staggeringly enough – while racking up several more hit singles, with “I’m a Believer,” “(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone,” “A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You,” “The Girl I Knew Somewhere,” “Pleasant Valley Sunday,” “Words,”  “Daydream Believer,” “Valleri,” and “Tapioca Tundra” all finding their way into the Billboard Top 40.

After the series’ two-season run, the group went on to star in the cult feature film HEAD (co-written by Jack Nicholson) and a TV special (33 1/3 Revolutions per Monkee) while also continuing to record new material, but much as the ‘60s gave way to the ‘70s, the members of the Monkees eventually gave in to their individual musical interests and went their separate ways… for awhile. In February 1986, after MTV broadcast a marathon of The Monkees, Dolenz, Jones, and Tork reunited for a 20th anniversary tour, with Nesmith joining them onstage for the Los Angeles date of the tour, and in 1996, all four members of the group reunited for a new album (Justus) and TV special (Hey, Hey, It’s the Monkees).

As the funniest, freshest face on television, Amy Schumer is on the rise in the world of comedy with her blend of honesty, and unapologetic sense of humor. On Saturday, March 28th, she dishes out hysterical comedy on the Special Events Center stage at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Schumer is the creator, star, writer and executive producer of the Emmy-nominated Inside Amy Schumer, the popular Comedy Central television series which premiered in April 2013 to the network’s highest season premiere ratings of the year. Schumer’s provocative and hilariously wicked mind is on full display as she explores topics revolving around sex, relationships, and the general clusterf*ck that is life through a series of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and man-on-the-street interviews. The show will return for a 3rd season in April 2015.

This past summer she completed production on Universal’s Trainwreck that Schumer wrote and will star in alongside Bill Hader, Tilda Swinton and Brie Larson. Judd Apatow will produce and direct the feature film that is scheduled to be released in July 2015.

Schumer’s hit one-hour stand-up special, Mostly Sex Stuff, became Comedy Central’s second-highest rated special in 2012.  She was also one of the featured comedians on Comedy Central’s Roast of Roseanne, which followed her memorable and quotable performance on the 2011 Roast of Charlie Sheen. She was recently seen in such critically acclaimed series as FX’s Louie and HBO’s Girls. Previously, Schumer had a recurring role on the third season of Adult Swim’s Delocated, and guest starred in the latest season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

On the big screen, Schumer filmed the feature Seeking a Friend for the End of the World starring Steve Carrell and Kiera Knightley, as well as Price Check, an independent feature opposite Parker Posey which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Her album Cutting placed in the top 5 of the Billboard Charts and has been included on multiple Best Comedy Albums of the Year awards’ lists.

The comic made her network debut in 2007 when she starred on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and soon after co-starred on 30 Rock and received her own Comedy Central Presents special.

One of the most avant-garde, influential and enduring bands in the history of music, Cheap Trick (Robin Zander – Vocals and Guitar, Rick Nielsen – Guitar and Vocals; Tom Petersson – Bass, Guitar and Vocals) has contributed an impressive list of classics to the American Rock Songbook, including “I Want You To Want Me,” “Surrender,” and “Dream Police.”
