IL DIVO, the world's foremost classical crossover quartet, will bring their new BEST OF IL DIVO tour to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino for their first ever show in Indio on Saturday, May 18th.

This new show will see Il Divo perform with a full orchestra, their signature classical interpretations of popular songs across their whole career catalogue. The world’s first and still the best classical crossover group – Urs Buhler, Carlos Marin, David Miller and Sebastien Izambard – have sold over 26 million albums, enjoyed over 50 number ones, chalked up 160 gold and platinum sales in over 33 countries. Proving the lack of geographical boundaries to their romantic and timeless repertoire, Il Divo have become a global touring phenomenon. Their 2012 fourth world tour saw them perform an incredible 134 shows across 46 countries on 6 continents.

Their amazing career knows no bounds.  Highlights include appearing at the opening and closing ceremony of the 2006 Fifa World Cup, touring as special guests to Barbra Streisand, a 2009 performance at President Obama’s Purple Inauguration Ball and recently at a special concert for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle.

Many of the tracks for the new Best of Il Divo show have been chosen by their fans all over the world and will include favorites ‘Somewhere’, ‘Unbreak My Heart’, ‘Unchained Melody’ and ‘Adagio’ as well as several new songs such as ‘My Heart Will Go On’ (in Italian), ‘I Will Always Love You’ (in Spanish) and ‘I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’ (English) from their recent global Greatest Hits album release.

As one of the most popular California pop/rock bands of the '70s, the Doobie Brothers evolved from a mellow, boogie band to a slick, soul-inflected pop band by the end of the decade. Along the way, the group racked up a string of gold and platinum albums in the U.S. On Saturday, June 15th the Doobie Brothers will return to the stage at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and play the tunes that helped them sell more than 40 million albums worldwide.

Aside from a few years of inactivity in the mid-eighties, the Doobie Brothers have continued to perform, create and record for over 21 consecutive years. Their most recent album, World Gone Crazy was released in 2010. It has been described as an analogy for the Doobie Brothers as a whole and another chapter in one of the greatest American music stories. With founding members Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, and 30 year-plus veterans John McFee and the late Michael Hossack, the Doobies have perfectly honored the band’s legacy with an offering that grows in unexpected new directions.

The songs on World Gone Crazy all feature Johnston and Simmons as writers and lead vocalists. Adding dimension to the project, in some cases there were co-writers involved, as well as some notable contributions or “guest appearances” by other vocalists, Doobie Brothers Alumni, Michael McDonald and country music legend Willie Nelson. And if fans have any understanding of what to expect from the Doobie Brothers, it’s probably the unexpected. “In a certain sense, it’s vintage Doobie Brothers,” Simmons says.

Get ready for a summer concert that will feature two of the most recognizable and iconic bands ever. On Saturday, July 6th you will have a chance to see both KC and the Sunshine Band and Village People perform during one concert inside the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

KC and the Sunshine Band are as wildly popular today as they were when they first danced into the music scene 40 years ago.  Harry Wayne Casey, KC for short, developed a unique fusion of R&B and funk with a hint of Latin percussion groove creating an impressive string of hits like Get Down Tonight, That’s the Way (I Like It) and Shake Your Booty.  The group has 9 Grammy nominations, three Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and has sold more than 100 million records.

KC and The Sunshine Band was one of the most progressive bands in the 70’s and is credited with changing the sound of modern pop music. They became the first act to score four #1 pop singles in one 12-month period since the Beatles in 1964.  Three of those singles crossed over to become #1 R&B, as well. Their songs have stood the test of time and you can ask any one of the thousands of fans who spend the entire concert on their feet, dancing and shaking their booty. You can count on hearing their music on the radio, at a nightclub, at the movies, in a sports arena or at one of the 100-plus concerts KC and the Sunshine Band plays every year.  It is always fun and truly makes all who hear it happy enough to dance!

On July 6th, the same day as the Fantasy Springs concert, the Palm Springs Walk of Stars will honor Harry Wayne Casey of KC & The Sunshine Band with a star dedication ceremony.

Beginning their 36th year as the “kings of disco”, the one-of-a-kind Village People is synonymous with dance music.  These six talented men combine energetic choreography with outrageous fun and lots of bumping and grinding, singing and dancing, and provide great entertainment for all!

Selling more than 100 million recordings, Village People were an instant phenomenon in the ‘70s and ‘80s with hits San Francisco/In Hollywood, Macho Man, YMCA, In the Navy, Go West and more.  The group has won many worldwide awards including the American Music Award-Favorite Musical Group 1979, AGVA's Georgie Award, West Germany's Gold Lion Award for music excellence and Brazil's 1981 Award for Best Act.   In September 2008, Village People received a “Star” on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – between Betty Grable and Liberace! 

Diana Ross has had a profound influence on American popular culture and has become an icon in the entertainment industry.  On Friday, August 2nd audiences will have a chance to see this legend perform in the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center.
Ms. Ross has sold over 100 million records and recorded 18 #1 hits. Her music became the sound of young America in the ‘60s soon after she signed with Motown Records in 1961 with The Supremes. She embarked on her extraordinary solo career in 1970, and has not stopped since.

Ross’ reputation as a woman of great style and beauty has put her on the covers of hundreds of magazines. She is an Academy Award nominated actress for her unforgettable role as Billie Holiday in Lady Sings the Blues, a Tony and Golden Globe winner, a bestselling author, winner of 8 American Music Awards and a recipient of The Kennedy Center Honors.  

Grammy Award-winning bands Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys will join forces with Alejandro Escovedo to bring their eclectic musical flavor to Fantasy Springs. On Saturday, August 10th the musicians will join forces and showcase their distinctive Latin sounds.

Los Lobos' debut album was called Just Another Band from East L.A., but in their nearly four decade long career, they’ve repeatedly disproven that title—Los Lobos isn’t “just another” anything. Highly recognized for their hit single "La Bamba", Los Lobos have released 19 albums, received 3 Grammy Awards and numerous nominations.  In 2012 the group celebrated the 20th anniversary of their landmark album, Kiko, with a re-release of the album including bonus tracks, a live DVD and the original album. Next year Los Lobos will celebrate 40 years together, a rare example of longevity in a volatile music world that stresses style over substance.
 
Los Lonely Boys, the Texican rock'n'roll trio of brothers Henry, JoJo and Ringo Garza, have achieved multi-platinum album sales, a Grammy Award for their monster hit "Heaven," and widespread acclaim.  Touring behind their most recent release Rockpango, they were named by Billboard as one of the top Adult Contemporary artists of all time.

A prolific and influential musician, Alejandro Escovedo surfaced as a guitarist for The Nuns on San Francisco's no-holds-barred punk scene centered around the Mabuhay Gardens in North Beach; in the band Rank & File he helped unite the disparate worlds of punk and country in the 1980s; and after he moved back to Austin, the True Believers combined all manner of Americana music in a harbinger of what was to come in Alejandro's solo career which began in 1992 with the album Gravity. His latest album, the critically acclaimed Big Station, was released in June 2012.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, HEART, will take their critically acclaimed live show on the road this summer with very special guest JASON BONHAM’S LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE. On Saturday, August 24th the tour will make a much anticipated stop at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Ann and Nancy Wilson first met Jason Bonham, son of famed Led Zeppelin drummer, John Bonham, when they performed “Stairway to Heaven” together at the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin in December 2012.   Over 6 million fans have watched the performance online and purchased the track on ITunes.  Now, in addition to a full set of Heart classic hits including “Crazy on You,” “Barracuda,” “Alone,” “These Dreams,” “What About Love,” and many more, fans can experience this historical pairing live when Heart and Bonham close each show with a special thirty-minute finale tribute to Led Zeppelin.

Ann Wilson promises fans an incredibly special event.  “Nancy and I and the rest of Heart are thrilled to be playing with Jason and his band this summer. Awesome rock n roll music every night...miracles apt to happen any old time."  Nancy adds, “It's not a tribute as we have the blessings of the gods themselves.”

Jason adds, "What a great night it was for us at the Kennedy Center awards, and now to be able to do it again on the road with Ann and Nancy is such an honor for me. I am really looking forward to taking my Led Zep Experience show out this summer with Heart and to join them in a Zep-a-thon closing the show as well.  Just fantastic!”

Ann Wilson and her younger sister, Nancy Wilson, first showed the world that women can rock when their band Heart stormed the charts in the '70s with hits like "Crazy on You," "Magic Man," "Barracuda," "Straight On," "Even It Up," "Kick It Out" and many more.  Not only did the Wilson sisters lead the band, they wrote the songs and played the instruments, making them the first women in rock to do so.  Heart continued topping the charts through the '80s and into the '90s with huge hits like "These Dreams," "Alone," "Never," and a string of other hits that showcased the sisters' enormous talents as both musicians and singers. Across four decades and 14 studio albums, Heart has sold more than 35 million records, had 21 top 40 hits, sold out arenas worldwide, and profoundly influenced the sound and direction of American rock music while inspiring women (and guys too!) around the world to rock out in bands of their own.

In 2010, Heart released its first album in a dozen years.  Red Velvet Car received both critical and commercial acclaim, debuting in the Top 10 in Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart.  In 2012, Ann and Nancy released a memoir, “Kicking & Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock & Roll,” which became an immediate New York Times best seller.  They also released a definitive box set, “Strange Euphoria,” a carefully considered anthology of biggest hits and best-loved songs set alongside deep catalog treasures, rarities, demos and live performances, on three compact discs and one DVD in a deluxe box.  In addition, they released a new album, “Fanatic,” which features three hit singles, the title track “Fanatic,” “Walking Good” featuring Sarah McLachlan, and “Dear Old America.”  The Wilson Sisters were also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On December 11, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the induction of Heart.  The induction ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on April 18, 2013 and broadcast on HBO on May 18, 2013.

It’s time to rock along to the music of the country’s best tribute bands.  Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s Rock Yard music venue will kick off the 2013 season on Saturday, April 20. The most accomplished cover bands in Southern California and the country’s most well known tribute bands take the stage every Saturday night for 5 straight hours of music. The cover band always starts the night off at 7:30pm. At 9:30pm, the tribute band takes over and plays audience favorites from rockers including Aerosmith, U2, Prince, AC/DC, Motley Crue and many more. Then at 11:00pm the cover band comes back and jams until midnight.
The Rock Yard outdoor concert stage is an amphitheater-style area at the resort featuring two stages side by side. As one band finishes its set, the other starts playing rock and roll anthems right away. Audiences of more than 3,000 have packed into the Rock Yard venue. Rock Yard outdoor concert shows run from spring to summer and are always free and open to anyone ages 18 and older.
