COACHELLA AND STAGECOACH PRE-PARTIES KICK OFF FESTIVAL SEASON AT FANTASY SPRINGS RESORT CASINO

March 28, 2022 – Indio, CA – To celebrate the return of the wildly popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach Music Festival, Marker Broadcasting and Fantasy Springs Resort Casino are hosting two FREE festival concerts from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 and Thursday, April 28 at the Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs. These pre-parties will feature live performances by some of the talented artists taking the stage at the famed music fests.

And for those who didn’t get their hands on coveted passes to this year’s Coachella or Stagecoach Festivals, we have great news: we will be giving out festival wristbands to several lucky winners.

On Thursday, April 14 the ALT 101.5 FM Coachella Pre-Party sponsored by Honda of the Desert gets rocking at 5 p.m. Headlining the festivities will be Norwegian singer/songwriter Girl in Red with opening act Whole Damn Mess.

Then on Thursday, April 28 the Big 106 Stagecoach Pre-Party sponsored by Toyota of the Desert will feature country sensation Ingrid Andress along with other country acts. Live music starts at 5 p.m.

Girl in Red’s debut album, “If I Could Make It Go Quiet” was released in 2021 to rave reviews. Its single “Serotonin” was produced by Finneas and has helped the singer hit a new level, earning her first entries on Billboard‘s Hot Alternative Songs and Emerging Artists charts. The singles “We Fell In Love In October” and “I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend” also helped cement her in the indie-pop scene.

Whole Damn Mess represents the union of lifelong musicians and friends with an incredible collective pedigree. Don Miggs founded and led MIGGS to international popularity (in addition to collaborating with everyone from Billy Corgan to Mick Fleetwood). Katz has been the long-time guitar player for The Mighty Mighty BossTones, while Nielsen and Hansen have found success in their side project Floyd Wonder. Singles “Nothing In The World Feels Better” and “Some Big Something” off the album of the same name are feel good anthems.

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Ingrid Andress has made a name for herself by adding a helping of pop and R&B to the traditional country style. In addition to writing hit songs for other artists, Andress has also written critically acclaimed tracks for herself. In 2020, she released her debut album “Lady Like,” which set the record for the all-time highest streaming debut album from a female country artist. Other chart toppers include “More Hearts Than Mine,” and her duet with Sam Hunt, “Wishful Drinking.”

Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Winners of the wristbands must be present at the parties and guests must be 18 years or older to attend.
