As the game’s emcee spun the prize wheel, each contestant clutched their keychain, hoping luck would stop on his or her number. The wheel clicked through to the No. 20 spot and a big shriek came from Carmen A. “I’m speechless!” she exclaimed. “I can’t believe it. I am so happy, I could cry.” Carmen drove home from Fantasy Springs in the brand new, $45,000 luxury car, but she said she will give the car to her daughter. “She works so hard and needs a reliable car,” explained Carmen. After about 15 seconds, Robert looked up and shouted, “oh, that’s me!” in disbelief. “I couldn’t believe it,” the winner said excitedly. “I forgot my number at first so I initially thought it wasn’t me.” Robert said he told his son that he should win the car since his son already has a Porsche and since Robert previously owned one of the first Porsche Boxters about 10 years ago. George Hayes, a retiree from Hemet, CA, came into the resort on a casino-hopping trip with a friend. Fantasy Springs was their last stop before heading home. George simply walked up to a 1¢ Super Spin Wheel of Fortune® machine and put in $40 or $50. Not long after that, he watched five Wheel of Fortune® symbols line up across the center line and knew it had to mean something big. That “something big” turned out to be $1,127,123.88. He says he and his friend make casino-hopping trips every few weeks. On this trip, it was their turn to hit the casinos in the Palm Springs area. The retiree says there was nothing special that stood out about the Wheel of Fortune® game, but he just walked right up and started playing it. “Today is my wife’s birthday. She passed away a number of years ago. In 1985, she won a jackpot at a Las Vegas casino for $250,000, which happened to be on my birthday. Seems like it’s happened again, only the other way around,” said George.
After enjoying dinner at the POM restaurant at Fantasy Springs, Claude D. and his wife decided to kill some time playing their favorite games in the casino. Claude sat down at a Fortune Pai Gow Poker table. He began with $100 and eventually increased his take to $200, always making sure to place a side bet on the progressive jackpot. After about 30 minutes at the table, Claude could not believe the hand he was dealt, a straight flush – 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Hearts. He knew he had a good hand. What he didn’t know immediately was that it was good enough to win him the entire progressive jackpot. “I wasn’t sure whether the straight flush would have to be a royal straight flush,” Claude explained. No royals needed at his Pai Gow Poker game for the progressive win. Claude said he was awestruck that he won $163,425.82 on one hand. He and his wife already planned a trip to Antigua, a trip she bid on while attending the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational at Fantasy Springs in February 2011. Now the couple says they will have some spending money for the trip. They both frequently visit Fantasy Springs and say they will definitely be back.
On Saturday, May 7th, 23-year old Raymond M. of Monrovia, CA headed east to Fantasy Springs with his grandfather and brother for a day of fun in the casino. Raymond says his grandfather enjoys some leisure time at casinos so the dutiful grandson tries to take him for a gaming outing about every other month. After playing a few different Wheel of Fortune® slot machines, Raymond says he wandered over to one $0.25 Wheel of Fortune® game. He had only put about $10 into the new machine, saying “I was maybe on the 10th spin.” “I watched the reels and remember the sound they made. One reel stopped on the middle line with the Wheel of Fortune® symbol showing. It made a kind of “plunk” sound. Then the one next to it and the last one did that, too. I thought, ‘oh wow.’” Raymond started shaking because the machine instantly flashed the word “jackpot” across the LED screen. Then he looked up and saw the progressive jackpot amount he won - $163,584.00.
Frank F. from Indio has a taste of what it’s like to be an ancient Egyptian king with lots of riches. He’s now $10,002 richer after his weekday visit to Fantasy Springs. He says he stops into his favorite local casino (Fantasy Springs) about every other week. Frank picked a $0.01 Pyramid of the Kings slot machine and played for about 30 minutes. On one of his plays, the symbols on the video reel slot lined up in the correct combination to bestow him with 10-grand! However, even kings have bills to pay and that’s what Frank says he will use some of his jackpot winnings on. You could be the next big jackpot winner at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
Cathy S. has been coming to Fantasy Springs for years because it’s her favorite casino. Cathy’s doubly sure of that feeling after a recent, very exciting Saturday night. Cathy, from the town of Brawley, CA, located about an hour south of Fantasy Springs, entered the casino’s “Audi Madness” Grand Prize Giveaway, held during the month of March. During one of the qualifying drawings, Cathy heard her name called on the loudspeaker. That meant she had five minutes to get to the game stage and play for a chance to win the brand new Audi A4. Problem was, Cathy’s driver license had expired and she was awaiting her new one in the mail. Without a valid ID, she could not enter the drawing. For a moment, she thought her hopes of winning the luxury automobile were dashed. Then, she remembered she picked up her mail the previous day but had not opened it. The stack of letters was still sitting in the front seat of her car. With the game clock ticking, Cathy ran as fast as she could to her car, grabbed her mail and ran back inside the casino. She made it back to the game stage with seconds to spare. Almost miraculously, she held an envelope from the Department of Motor Vehicles. She ripped it open to reveal her new driver license. This made her eligible to come back to play for the shiny new audi A4. Her luck continued through to the Saturday during the grand finale drawing. Cathy and the other contestants vying for the luxury car each picked a keychain at random which bore a number. The wheel landed on the number matching Cathy’s keychain, meaning the $50,000 Audi A4 was hers to drive home. “I could not believe it, that it landed on my number. Though somewhere I though that because of my luck with my drivers license, I’d have good luck with the car, too.”
Fantasy Springs congratulates a lot of recent jackpot winners at the casino. Ronald H. from Cathedral City came in to play a $1.00 12 Times Pay slot machine and in near record time – 30 seconds and having put only $3 into the machine – Ronald came away $10,800 richer after the symbols lined up across the center of the screen. Elizabeth drove away with the $60,000 vehicle on Saturday, February 26th from Fantasy Springs as the grand prize winner in the “Romance the Road Mercedes Benz Cash & Prize Giveaway.” The Palm Desert, CA woman was one of 24 finalists vying that night for the new set of wheels. Each contestant was called to the game stage and was asked to select a keychain at random. Each keychain bared a number corresponding to a space on the prize wheel that sat on the stage. The crowd watched in baited anticipation to see where the wheel would stop. All of a sudden, a scream came from the audience. It was Elizabeth exclaiming that the wheel landed on her number. She'll certainly look good driving down the streets of the Palm Springs area in her luxury prize.
A big congratulations goes out to Margaret Ann J. of Destin, Florida. Margaret Ann visited Fantasy Springs recently and found a $0.25 Double Super Times Pay Royal Flush video poker machine she liked. She played for a while, then the top row of cards revealed something monumental for Margaret Ann. On her final bet of the hand, she was dealt a royal flush, the best you can get. That winning hand scored her a cool $10,000. "Oh, shoot!" she shouted. She said it was hard for her to believe it, though she said she can definitely use the money and will probably give some of it to her children.
Marianne W. of Placentia, CA says that the saying, “a watched pot never boils,” is not true. The retired teacher visits Fantasy Springs and the Palm Springs area about once a week. “Every time I came in for about a month, I walked by this Blazing 7s slot machine and looked at it,” admits Marianne. She never played it, however, until one fateful Saturday. She found no other players taking their turn at the $1.00 Blazing 7s slot, so Marianne gave it a few spins. She put in $40 and 10 minutes later, three Blazing seven symbols lined up across the center of the screen. “I was so excited,” she says. She does not have any immediate plans for her $16,954.95 win, though she says she plans to continue visiting Fantasy Springs and the Coachella Valley.

The West Covina, CA billing clerk visited Fantasy Springs for the first time at the end of January 2011. For her, the first time was a charm. Michael W. was a long way from home when he scored his recent jackpot at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. The Lincoln, Nebraska resident was traveling in the Palm Springs area for the holidays and decided a stop into Fantasy Springs might be a lucky thing to do. He was right. Michael sat down at a Progressive Blackjack table and began playing for about 30 minutes. He continued to place the minimum bet, plus the $1 progressive side bet. That way, on the chance he was dealt an ace and a king of spades and the dealer also got an ace and king of spade, Michael would stand to win a lot of money. Since this was Michael’s third visit to Fantasy Springs, the charm of the number three worked because Michael revealed an ace and king of spades, along with the dealer. He won the progressive jackpot amount which, at that time, was $14,351.24. “I didn’t know that I won. This is fantastic and an awesome way to start the New Year,” said Nebraska man. He did not have any immediate plans for his winnings, though now he’ll seriously consider making a fourth, and fifth visit to Fantasy Springs.

Every keychain was tagged with a number that corresponded to a space on the giant prize wheel. As the emcee gave the wheel a big spin, the 24 finalists watched the numbers go around with eager anticipation. The wheel came to rest on space 19, the same number keychain belonging to Eugenia A. of Indio, CA. “I’ve never won a jackpot but today I had a good feeling.
