The Coachella Valley’s funniest comedy series, The Improv, returns to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino with a new season of stand-up comics performing every Friday and Saturday night. The laughter resumes Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th with season-opening headliner Jesus Trejo.Tickets are $20; guests must be 21 or older to attend. 

Born and raised in Long Beach, Trejo is one of the fastest rising comedians on the stand-up scene. His first Showtime special is expected air in early 2020 and can currently be seen on the Netflix series “Mr. Iglesias,” as well as “Alone Together” (Freeform) and “Teachers” (TV Land). Trejo was named a New Face comedian at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal in 2016, and a Variety Top 10 Comic to Watch at JFL in 2017. He is currently a paid regular at the legendary Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

Headlining January 17th and 18th is Amir K, who has been entertaining audiences for a decade. Born in Iran and raised in Southern California, he offers a unique point of view shaped by his multi-cultural upbringing. He currently stars in the primetime CW reboot of “MADtv” and has been seen on “Adam Devine’s House Party” on Comedy Central, “Comedy Knock Out” on True TV, NBC’s Last Comic Standing and MTV’s “Jerkswith Cameras.” He is also an accomplished actor, having won a SAG award for his role in the Oscar-winning film “Argo.”

Taking the stage January 24th and 25th is New York native Thomas Dale, whose “realness” makes for an unforgettable night of laughter. He was a regular on “Chelsea Lately” and has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Adam Devine’s House Party,” “The Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and HBO’s “Funny as Hell.” Dale was a featured comic on “The Nasty Show” for the 2016 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and has an album on iTunes and Amazon titled “Love, Me.”

Veteran stand-up comic Bob Zany headlines on January 31st and February 1st. Known for his trademark cigar, Zany has been entertaining audiences since the late 1980s. He’s appeared on the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, the David Spade comedy “Joe Dirt,” NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and the film “The Informant” starring Matt Damon. Zany also stars in the documentary “Close But No Cigar,” which chronicles his 30- plus years in show business.
