Months after releasing their gospel-tinged single “I’ll Be Gone,” Norah Jones and Mavis Staples have announced a spring/summer U.S. tour that will bring the Grammy Award-winners to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Saturday, May 16th at 8 p.m. Tickets starting at $69 go on sale this Friday, February 28th at Fantasy Springs Box Office, via phone (800) 827-2946 and online at www.FantasySpringsResort.com.

Jones emerged on the world stage in 2002 with Come Away with Me — introducing a singular new voice in pop, jazz, blues, and folk. The album swept the 2003 Grammys with five wins for Jones (including Album of the Year) and went on to sell over 50 million copies worldwide. She has since released a string of critically acclaimed solo albums — Feels Like Home (2004), Not Too Late (2007), The Fall (2009), Little Broken Hearts(2012), and Day Breaks (2016) — as well as records with alt-country bands The Little Willies and Puss n Boots. Most recently, Jones has released a series of singles including collaborations with artists such as Jeff Tweedy, Thomas Bartlett, Brian Blade, Tarriona Tank Ball, and Rodrigo Amarante. Her latest solo release, Begin Again, compiles seven of these eclectic singles recorded between 2018 and 2019.

Hailed by NPR as “one of America’s defining voices of freedom and peace,” Staples is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer (with the Staples Singers), a civil rights icon, a Grammy winner, a soul/gospel/R&B pioneer, and a Kennedy Center honoree. The octogenarian has collaborated with everyone from Prince and Bob Dylan to Arcade Fire and Hozier, blown away festivals goers from Newport Folk and Glastonbury to Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, performed with The Band in The Last Waltz, and appeared on Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Ellen, Austin City Limits, Jools Holland, and more. Staples recently released her uplifting 12th studio album, We Get By, produced by multi-Grammy winner Ben Harper.
