Two pop music legends of the 1960s — Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson and recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Zombies — are bringing their shimmering vocals and classic hits to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino’s Special Events Center on Sunday, September 1st at 8 p.m. Tickets for their Something Great From ’68 and More tour are $49, $59, and $89, on sale this Friday, May 10 at the Fantasy Springs Box Office, via phone (800) 827-2946 and online at www.FantasySpringsResort.com.

Focusing on the innovative music he created in 1968 and beyond, Wilson and his longtime band will perform selections from two of his favorite Beach Boys albums — Friends (1968) and Surf’s Up (1971) — as well as rare gems and the biggest hits of his storied career, including “God Only Knows,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” and “Heroes and Villains.” Joining Wilson on stage will be longtime Beach Boys Al Jardine (“Sloop John B”) and Blondie Chaplin (“Sail on Sailor”).

“It’s been quite a year and I’m ready to go out and tour some music that makes everyone have a feel-good vibe,” says Wilson, who has been recognized as one of the most acclaimed songwriters of the rock ’n’ roll era. “The Friends album has always been one of my favorites, and I love the music from that time in history… I’m psyched to go out with The Zombies, who have some of the best harmonies ever.”

Iconic British psychedelic pop group The Zombies are celebrating their recent and long-overdue induction into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, and Roxy Music. Featuring co-founders Rod Argent (keyboards, vocals), Colin Blunstone (lead vocals), and Hugh Grundy (drums), as well as classic era bassist Christ White, the band will perform their seminal 1968 album Odessey & Oracle in its entirety, including the smash “Time of the Season,” plus earlier hits “She’s Not There,” “Tell Her No,” and “She’s Coming Home.”

“For at least the last five years, we’ve expressed the thought to our management that a tour with Brian Wilson would feel to us pretty much like the perfect pairing,” says Argent. “Now it’s something we’re actually able to look forward to, and with a great deal of excitement. We’ll be performing Odessey & Oracle in its entirety, with all remaining originals plus expanded forces, so that every note from the original album will be reproduced! Roll on autumn — we can’t wait!”

Tickets for Brian Wilson and The Zombies are $49, $59, $109, available Friday, May 10 at the Fantasy Springs Box Office, via telephone (800) 827-2946 and online at www.FantasySpringsResort.com.
